Blot Engineering, Inc. performed full service civil and structural engineering, cost estimating, permitting assistance, bid package assistance, and construction engineering inspection (CEI) services for this 7,200 SF mainufacturing plant building expansion.  Complete civil/site design and layout services were performed including site plans and underground utility plans.  Potable water subsurface utility engineering included design coordination for a new fire service line for the building wet sprinkler system, and for relocating/re-routing an existing fire service loop due to new construction. Due to site location near the river bottoms, the foundation design utilized auger-cast pressure grouted piles for both the elevator pit and the building expansion column foundations.  Structural engineering design also included structural steel and reinforced masonry for the 4-story freight elevator.
