Lee County Post IAN Facility Assessments

Blot Engineering, Inc. (BEI) provided Post-Hurricane IAN Emergency Assessment services to Lee County.  Hurricane IAN brought Category 4 hurricane winds in excess of 150-mph along with 12+ feet of storm surge to the Fort Myers Beach area.

BEI’s team provided both landward assessments of facilities along with waterward/underwater dive investigations of pier and dock facilities.  The assessments were provided to enumerate damage, description, and dimensions (DDD) for eleven (11) County-owned sites.  The effort was in support of Lee County’s application for Public Assistance grants from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
