Blot Engineering, Inc. (BEI) provided Structural Engineering services to the City of Fort Myers for repairs and renovations of the Fort Myers Country Club Edison Restaurant Clubhouse building.

 

Structural Engineering services included structural assessment reports, and structural repair plans and specifications for cracked and spalling concrete throughout the clubhouse structure.

 

Deteriorated prestressed hollow core floor planks were redesigned as cast-in-place floors.  Structural analysis of the existing reinforced concrete supporting beams was performed due to the added weight; and FRP beam reinforcing was designed to increase concrete beam capacity.

 

BEI also provided design, cost estimating, permitting, construction engineering and inspection services, and project closeout services for the City.
